Winner of the V-Day book giveaway....

Thank you to everyone that took part in the Valentine's Day book giveaway! I loved reading your stories. The winner of the cookbook goes to mcogdil - how on earth was I to keep you racking up library fines for a book you already love so much :)
Send me a DM on twitter so that I can get the book out to you (and you can return yours to the library - LOL).
Cheers! Promise to let me know when you try those sticky buns.

Oh, thank you so much. I collect cookbooks and this is a very welcome addition. My 12 year old is allergic to nuts (peanut butter, coconut as I look at other recipes). The sticky buns look AWESOME, but I think we will try the Cinnamon Raisin twists p. 61 instead.
Zucchini, carrot apple muffins p. 47 look fantastic too and we can omit nuts from that. I am teaching my kid to bake & cook. Because of nut allergies he cannot eat anything from a bakery (sad). Only made-from-scratch at home. Lots of grateful wishes to you!

mcogdill - it's my pleasure! I have friends with kids who have allergies, and it's so hard (esp. b-day parties). At my work, we actually have an allergy cookbook coming out soon-ish, so I'll have to let you know when it does. Got your contact details on Twitter, so I'll get the book right out to you : )

You work in publishing in NYC?!? Wickedly cool. Yes, let me know about the cookbook. Sad thing though for me as a foodie is figuring out how to cook. My kid is also allergic (seriously to): mustard, potatoes, all legumes (beans, green beans), direct soy protein (no tofu, edamame), yellow squash, all shellfish (used to be able to eat it but no more), garlic (!!), and more.

Tragically sad & cooking is quite the challenge.

Looking forward to a goodie coming to my mailbox!

mcogdill - oh, man, that's tough! That rules out so many foods. Quite the challenge, you have :) Have you heard of the bakery "babycakes" in NYC? They sell gluten-free baked goods that get rave reviews and they ship. They get lots of people with different allergies coming in, so they are sensitive to special requests.
